This month, we recognize and applaud the creativity, resilience, groundbreaking innovation, and countless accomplishments that AAPI entrepreneurs have brought and continue to bring to the entrepreneurial space.
We encourage you to take some time to dive into the incredible and inspiring stories of the AAPI entrepreneurs who continue to redefine what is possible, and to reflect on the profound impact that the contributions of the entire AAPI community has on our lives each day.

SCN Policy Summit | June 7-8, 2023 in Washington, DC
|

This special summit will convene and connect you with legislators, agency administrators, and program managers to talk about advocacy, policy, programs, and procurements related to ecosystem building.
Led by our Board of Directors, this Summit will be different from our normal summit programs. Expect to hear partner organizations who are part of the national, state, and local policy and advocacy efforts and learn how you can become an agent for policy change in your ecosystem. Also expect to hear from Federal agency champions who are weaving entrepreneurial ecosystem building concepts into their programs that result in procurement and contract opportunities for you! Don't worry, we'll still keep some of your favorite SCN Summit activities. But alongside some new ones, too.
The agenda is being finalized, but activities you can expect to see will include:
- Workshops on advocacy
- Insights into upcoming programs being run by advocacy-based agencies
- Round table for entrepreneurs facing poverty
- InterCultural Unity from an advocacy perspective
- Roses & Thorns
- An opportunity to meet with your local government officials/legislators

Techstars Startup Weekend: Health & Wellness

Techstars Startup Weekend is a creative and collaborative three-day educational event where anyone can develop and pitch new startup ideas. It's about pitching, business model creation, prototyping, designing, and market validation, in a friendly and supportive team environment. All in just 54 hours.
Taking place from June 2-4, 2023, this event will be hosted by Knox St. Studios & foundit by Duke Engineering. As one of the world's leading academic and research institutions, Duke University has a unique prowess for driving innovation in health and wellness. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to tap into the resources and expertise of Duke's vibrant innovation ecosystem.
During this exciting weekend, participants will work alongside a diverse group of entrepreneurs, innovators, and experts to develop and refine their business ideas. The event is aimed at providing participants with the tools and resources you need to launch your own health and wellness startups.
Participants will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced mentors, who will provide guidance and support as they develop their ideas. The weekend will culminate in a pitch competition, where participants will have the chance to present their business ideas to a panel of expert judges and compete for valuable prizes.
