Angela Hollowell
Southeast Region
Southeast fellow, Angela Hollowell, is the founder and host of Honey & Hustle, a video podcast committed to highlighting the unique and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem that makes North Carolina a premier destination for work, travel, film production, and community development. Angela’s passion for this work stems from her own experiences starting a business in Alabama, and having a firsthand understanding of the struggle to access mentors and marginalized business owners for advice.
"I believe everyone, regardless of where they live, should have access to resources to succeed. I am motivated by the potential for change and the impact that my work can have."
Angela Hollowell
Angela plans to scale up her newsletter, Please Hustle Responsibly, to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and the resources and strong community they need to thrive. She shares that the newsletter is “more than just a publication; it's a tool for empowerment and change. By expanding its reach, we can provide more entrepreneurs, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, with access to essential resources, insights, and opportunities that they might not otherwise have. The newsletter serves as a conduit, connecting entrepreneurs to each other, to the support they need, to funding and fellowship opportunities, and to the broader business landscape in North Carolina.”
Meet the other PLACE Builders fellows:
Inspired by the legacy of Pava LaPere, forever Chief Ecosystem Officer and Co-Founder of EcoMap Technologies, as a tribute to her legacy of fighting for equal access to opportunity, the PLACE (Pava LaPere Award for Cultivating Ecosystems) Builders fellowship aims to catalyze more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems by providing intensive training, peer support, and community pilots to eight selected fellows.
